Quick Clean Car Wash, Lee’s Summit, MO

Owners: Bob Brown and Chad Morley

This metro Kansas City operator has a story to tell about the evolution of his 38-year-old site that looks brand new. It started out as a 10-bay self serve with one inbay automatic. It then morphed into an eight-bay site with three IBA’s and is now an eight bay with two friction tunnels. Brown will share the evolution of Quick Clean and why it all makes sense. The wash features two 50-foot AVW belted tunnels in a 60-foot building with InnovateIT bay boxes and pumping stations, free Vacutech vacs and Shore Corporation chemical.

Chesapeake Car Wash, Chesapeake, MD

Owner: Tom Morris

Operator Tom Morris came to carwashing after an illustrious broadcasting career on the national level, but he always dreamed of owning a carwash. In 2012, that dream came true and Morris opened Chesapeake Car Wash after touring more than 100 sites to learn all he could about the industry. His 125-foot full serve Sonny’s tunnel also boasts a 1,500 square foot lobby with a 10-foot-high, 70-foot-long glass wall overlooking the tunnel so his customers can follow the entire wash process. The lobby includes a couple thousand greeting cards, candles and other unique and novelty items, as well as free drinks and snacks for his “VIP” customers.

Rojo Co. Inc, Norwood and Walpole, MA

Owner: John Shalbey, Jr.

Second generation operator John Shalbey, Jr. owns and operates four diverse sites. His Route 1 Norwood location is the largest of the four on three acres with corner lot access off a divided highway.
